Minn is 30!!!

Well there won't be pictures today because my computer is having issues but I wanted to get on and tell everyone that today is Marintha's birthday. I am so lucky to have such an amazing big sis. She is also my BEST friend. I feel bad for her because she was the oldest and I feel like she always made decissions for us and not for her. She would usually let me borrow her awsome big sister clothes even though there were strict rules and regulations to follow. She would let me come play with her when she was in college and she spent many nights taking me to N.C. She is Amazing she can make almost anything, her house always looks incredible and she is writing a book. She recently discovered she has a whole in her heart I think it is because her heart is so big it couldn't grow as fast as she was trying to make it. When we were growing up she would always make cards and gifts for any one who needed it. She would hand draw them. She is so amazing at drawing I think she won every art contest she ever entered. She is incredible! She is always thinking of other people and puts herself on the back burnrer. Anyway Sis, Happy Birthday!!! I love you!!!

Not afraid of a little mess

When it comes down to it my kids will both get the job done Mikey isn't afraid to get his hands a little dirty and Lindsey will dive right on in. This was taken this morning. Mikey is doing homework. (A.K.A. practicing writing with foam soap on a board.) Lindsey is doing what she does best getting herself right into the middle of whatever is going on.

We tried to stop her but inthe end she won. But atleast I got a picture of it and since it is soap it was a clean mess. This is so typical Lindsey. You give her a moment to cause trouble and she will find a way. She'll do it in a way that is soooo cute you can't even get mad. I love this little girl so much.
One day I was moppi11n I turned around and there she was chest high in the mop water and loving it. Ahhhh to be young!

Mike's bithday was friday so I took some pictures of my adorable kids. It is a good thing they are so cute because I am terrible at taking photos hope you enjoy. They just look like the best of friends I love the look on their faces in the last one.

Playing catch up

Well since it has been almost 2 months I figure I should write something. Well actually Minn has been threatening me . But here I am. Well Lindsey turned one on the 19th of March. I can't beleive how quickly the time flies. It feels like she has always beena part of our family. I can't imagine life without my tenacious little Lindsey. This morning Mikey was hiding from herethen he told her it was her turn to hide so she squealed and hid under her crib it was so funny. I peeked under and she was sitting there as proud as could be. My how quickly they grow. I'm not ready for how quickly they are changing. Mikey is getting so big and fun. i love his spirit so much he is always teaching mr and making me realize that the time and effort spent on teaching our children is worth it. If Mike or I ever forget scripture study mikey is sure to remind us. I think partially to get out of bed time. Well that is the update. Pictures may follow!

Mikey trying to be a "man"

Not much new and exciting is happening around here. I had taken some pictures on monday for FHE ehow missing in action. Mikey wanted to make treats and take them to neighbors so we made Valentine rice krispy treats. He decided that him and Lindsey needed to put on costumes to go they looked so cute as a Dinosaur and a bee. Mikey has been real into Dino's again lately and has worn his costume all over. Tuesday he and linds came with me to clean out the nursery cupboard. He of course had to wear the costume. Several people told me how cute he was walking to Peg's in it. (Peggy is also in the nursery and came to help and then Mikey went home with her for awhile.)

Mom as a young girl.

Happy Birthday mom. Today is my Mom's birthday. I just wanted to take a moment and write some of my thoughts about her. It is hard for me to know where to start so i will start with a poem I wrote for her about 10 years ago. It is cheesy but that is what you get from me.

There are so many things I could add to that list. She is the one I call when I have good news or bad. When I need applause or an answer. There are not many people I know that are up to the task of raising 8 kids but my mom did it and she did it well. I hope I can be as good a mom to my kids as she was to me. She never missed a performance of mine. Every night every assembly every silly in class performance she was there cheering me on. During rehearsal she would bring me food. She would stay up late at night to chat and to comfort us. She was and is one of my best friends. I was one of the few kids in high school he had a friendship with their mother. I was a hard kid to raise but my mom was up for the fight. When she didn't have an answer she would go to the Lord and she helped teach us to do the same. There was many a time that she would tell me to pray and to make my own descission. Even now she is there for me guiding the way. What would I do wiothout my mom. She is one of the most giving poeple I know. Mom I love you. Thanks for making me feel important and knowing how to put up with me. Thanks for teaching me the gospel and loving me. My mom was loved by all my friends and if she wasn' starting snowball/water fights you can bet she was finishing them. I love you mom, Happy Birthday.

I think it would be great if anyone out there wanted to leave comments for my mom to do that here at my site since she doesn't have her own and since she will read this she will know to check them.

This is probably dumb to post but I can't get ahold of any of my cheerleaders right now so I am telling all of you. I just put on a pair of pants that I haven't been able to wear in six years. WAHOOO!!!!!!!

Since I am here I will update a little.
Lindsey is walking. she is still shaky but she loves it. Mikey is still a big helper and a great big bro.
